Avviato il Progetto di Lana Merino 100% Made in Italy

The 100% Made in Italy Merino Wool Project has started

The Lanaioli Project, which dreams of a 100% Made in Italy Short Supply Chain knitwear production, begins its steps from the beginning of 2024.

Lana Merino Italiana Filiera Corta

Short Supply Chain Italian Merino Wool

It is one of the points on the agenda of our corporate vision: raw materials at Km0 for greater sustainability of our productions.

Since January, the first contacts have been made with Italian breeders of merinised breeds native to our territories, especially in Central Italy, such as the Sopravissana, once bred mainly in Lazio, Umbria and Marche, and now in danger of extinction also due to importation. massive merino wool from other places in the world.

In addition to the network of breeders who have preserved and enhanced a niche production of Italian merino wool, the first tests will be started by 2024 to verify the quality of the yarn and improve it for a medium-long term plan that will see the Lanaioli brand engaged in the front line on this issue.

We want to guarantee local farmers a fair compensation for the wool they provide us. This helps them improve the breeds of the animals and allows us to process the wool in dedicated Italian factories.

In this way, we obtain yarns of high quality that can compete with those from other parts of the world and use them in products under our brand.

All this will help reduce the environmental impact and cut costs related to the long transportation of raw materials to Europe from other parts of the world.

Lanaioli's Green Project: creating sustainable luxury fashion for everyone

Lanaioli is a family business dedicated to the production of high-quality knitwear for men and women. From the beginning we decided to use only natural yarns such as cashmere, merino wool, silk and cotton, not only for their exceptional characteristics but also to offer an authentic and environmentally friendly fashion experience.

Our strength lies in the combination of craftsmanship and slow fashion principles, which allow us to guarantee high quality garments of Italian origin. However, we are aware of the importance of environmental sustainability and want to do our part to reduce resource waste and CO2 emissions.

This can be read on the page dedicated to our project on the crowdfunding site "Produzioni dal Basso", where it is possible to participate proactively in supporting the dream of a clothing supply chain that is more compatible with the environment and nature.
